Frameless cabinets are built with the cabinet box being the main structure and a thin edge is applied to the box to match the exterior of the cabinet. Box materials will be thicker and beefier than most face frame cabinets because the box does all the work. The doors and drawer glides are attached to the box itself instead of to a face frame.
